Some factors that push the index, but definitely it won't sustain. By-election in Kuala Terenganu on 17 Jan, the crude oil price goes up and Obama will swearing in as US President are the factors.
But, we must aware that next month fourth quarter 2008 results will out and it is realy not good.

Valuecap rescue again
In Malaysia, again the Bursa Malaysia has been rescued. 5 bil. and additional 5 bil. to buy the undervalue stocks in Bursa Malaysia market. The purpose is to attract more foreign funds to buy stocks in Bursa Malaysia. Is it a right time for retailers to enter the market.
"Buy those stocks that have strong fundamental background and pay dividend." This is an advise from smart investors.

Financial crisis
Financial crisis is not yet end. Everyone is suffering. All market down. But, Bursa Malaysia has been at bottom earlier, so it will not drop much. May be, this time is a chance to find good stocks at a lower prices.
